Even in person, they could not help me book a slot for my group of 10. However, we loved the concept and are looking forward to see how Top Golf handles bookings when they arrive in Raleigh.Īfter 2 weeks of trying to get a hold of the event coordinator to reserve bays for my fiance's birthday, I had to go in person just to speak with someone. The booking process was unnecessarily difficult and expensive. The food (mostly appetizers and drinks for our group) was quite good. After showing them they had successfully charged my credit card they asked us to wait while they set it up (a short wait in the lobby). They requested to see the e-mail acknowledging our event booking. On the day/time of the event we showed up to find their was no event scheduled in our name. There is no one at Drive Shack to talk to as reservations/event bookings are all done thru email. It took multiple emails over multiple days to the event coordinator to arrange the booking and I did not receive the contract until the day of the event. Event pricing is premium pricing and contains a $200 food and beverage voucher which you either use or lose. When I asked to reserve two bays for two hours and a total of ten people I was told this would require setting up an event at a minimum cost of $400. Great concept and fun to try for a small group of three or four people. The drivers are very basic, I recommend buying one of your own to get maximum distance on the balls. Food is very good, not overpriced and comes out in a reasonable amount of time. We will go back as there is no other place like this in Raleigh. I mentioned this to an employee passing by who didn’t tell management as one hour later the bathroom was still in the same condition. Urine on the floor in front of the urinals. It was less than clean, dirty water pooled on the sink counters, kids were leaning in it getting their shirts wet trying to wash their hands. 2nd disappointment was the condition of the Men’s Restroom on the 2nd level. We ordered less food and drinks due to the server issue so yes, it costs Drive Shack money when the server won’t stop by. Comment cards could help identify bad servers. Having a call button would help the situation. This was not the case during our previous visit so we were disappointed that our server this time around was M.I.A. We often had to ask random employees to find our server for us. I recommend installing ‘call buttons’ for wait staff as our server was very difficult to flag down to order food, get drink refills etc. A few disappointments however during our last visit. We watched various bays being wiped down/sanitized, they do a thorough job of it. Drive Shack is a lot of fun and we appreciate the efforts made to combat the coronavirus. I am sure we will continue to come here as when we do we we always have lot of quality fun time together.Go right at opening time to get the lower hourly rate otherwise it will be very pricey. There is also a nice and clean onsite cafeteria as well. Although they do raise the prices each year. There are several pools in the centre, including one which is not deep and so it’s perfect for young family swimming, another one which is heated with disco lights, a few other very shallow paddling pools with fountains and amusement activities such as pumping and spraying water for fun mechanisms. It is a very clean and well maintained centre with good changing rooms including several large family ones and enough availability so that we nearly always manage to get one. However, this place is far superior and better value than other swimming pools in our area. I have been taking my daughters swimming here on a regular basis for over 5 years.
